About the role

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a Data Analytics Assistant to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCE's K-12 Educational Development department.

Purpose within the Organization:

The purpose of this position is to support the K12 Educational Development Department’s Outreach and Support team by facilitating data collection, reporting, and updates beginning immediately. This position is budgeted for update to 20 hours per week throughout the summer. Responsibilities include coordinating the collection of data related to professional development survey inquiries, submitting this data through the appropriate technology systems, and maintaining and updating the data over time. Additionally, this position will be responsible for creating monthly reports to be shared with the team.

Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

  • Serve as a professional and positive representative of GCU and the K12 Educational Development department.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain data
  • Analyze data and prepare reports
  • Enter data into appropriate technology systems
  • Provide assistance with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Availability for 20 hours per week during the school year, and up to 20 hours per week during the summer.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization.
  • Familiarity with data collection, analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
  • Ability to identify trends and insights from data.
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Capability to manage and organize large sets of data.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in data analytics, computer science, mathematics, education, or a related field.

Education:

Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program. 
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
