Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

This role can be based in San Francisco, Mountain View or New York City. 

Our Monetization Strategic Finance team is looking for an Associate who will be a key strategic business partner to our Online Subscription Businesses. As a member of this team, you will not only partner with cross functional teams, but you will play a central role in influencing decisions affecting these businesses. You will be responsible for maintaining, analyzing, and communicating relevant business KPIs, proactively driving analyses to better inform our forecast models, expanding our various bottoms up models to reflect our business strategies, and providing strategic analyses and recommendations to our key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Learns to identify new opportunities for growth within a limited scope and conducts strategic deep-dives to inform business partners.
• Builds collaborative relationships with other teams and seeks input and feedback to develop an understanding of their priorities and constraints.
• Communicates implications of work (e.g., forecasts, analyses, trends) to management and cross-functional stakeholders to drive action.
• Synthesizes problems and communicates point of view to support decision-making on issues related to individual work in smaller group discussions.
• Communicates with stakeholders to answer a wide variety of complex questions.
• Proactively identifies obstacles and works to unblock them with minimal support.
• Supports performance management by creating, maintaining, and updating complex models and forecasts for assigned metrics.
• Proactively seeks out feedback and provides constructive feedback to colleagues.
   

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field AND minimum 3 years of experience in finance, finance accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or related field OR equivalent experience.
   

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in the technology industry
• Basic SQL and data visualization (PowerBI etc.) experience  
• Background in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, strategy or an operational or growth role
• Proactive and solutions-oriented, with the ability to independently seek information, solve complex problems, mobilize resources, and drive outcomes in dynamic environments 
• Strong analytical skills with experience in building financial models to translate real-world business challenges 
• Concise and effective communications: You’re able to articulately present and debate recommendations with cross-functional teams and senior leadership

The pay range for this role is $95,000 - $128,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
