Develop assigned courses and provide classroom and laboratory instruction for Medical Laboratory Technician students
Evaluate and advise students;
Maintain supplies needed for classes;
Participate in department meetings, program advisory committee meetings, and college-wide events;
Maintain technical knowledge in the field through active participation in professional development organizations and events;
Promote diversity, inclusion and cultural competency.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a medical laboratory technologist/scientist.
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Medical Laboratory Technologist/Scientist certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or the AAB Board of Registry (ABOR), or American Medical Technologist (AMT).
Preferred Qualification
Master’s or doctoral degree
ASCP-BOC or ASCPi-BOC generalist certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist
Three years of teaching experience
Familiar with NAACLS accreditation procedures

Salary and benefits will be based on the collective bargaining agreement between Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF) and the State of Minnesota. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Salary and benefits will be provided according to the negotiated labor agreement.
Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)
Fixed-term full-time position, for academic year 2025-2026. Monday – Friday with classes generally scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
