You get it done

As IT Application Specialist FMS at DSV, you will be responsible for the configuration, testing and support of our FMS applications; QAD Precision and nShift. These applications are (partly) cloud-based and are used to manage and optimize our logistics freight processes. You will be working on it

 

You work in a team of 8 colleagues and a team lead, who together are the point of contact for EMEA and Africa. You have a lot of contact with various internal and external parties, such as local engineers, BCM colleagues and software suppliers. You ensure that the software solutions you request and receive meet DSV's SLAs and guidelines. You install and test the software products, both internally and with end-users. You provide support to your operational colleagues, both by phone and e-mail. You develop and improve work processes and standards within your team. In short, you are an important link between the operation and the software.

 

You get this done by:

• configure, test and support our FMS applications; QAD Precision and nShift;
• requesting and following up on software solutions from our suppliers, according to agreed SLAs;
• keeping system documentation up-to-date, in accordance with DSV guidelines;
• developing and improving work processes and standards within my team.

 

Your team stands out within DSV as an involved and customer-oriented department in which 8 application specialists FMS are responsible for various freight-related applications that play a crucial role within the DSV logistics outbound process.

You bring

 

• bachelor’s degree work and thinking level;
• experience within IT and ready for the next step in your career, and preferably already have experience with Freight & Transport Management;
• knowledge of and experience with (Microsoft) SQL;
• a proactive way of communicating and able to work independently in Dutch and English.
