Picker (Hilo Driver)

JAC Products is seeking a Picker to join our team in Saline, MI on 1st shift.  As a Picker you will be responsible for material flow between plant floor and dock, as well as picking finished goods and supplied components for Business Units. 

Your Contributions:   

1. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment
2. Responsible for pulling material and delivering it to the dock.
3. Must pull part numbers and quantities on assigned pick list.
4. Responsible for checking all containers for correct part number and quantity.
5. Complete pick list when material is on the pallet counted and rechecked for loading. 
6. Must organize and maintain all material handling supply equipment.
7. Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment, in addition to daily housekeeping, visual controls and workplace organization.

What you need as a Picker:   

• Maintain a team-oriented working environment that allows for individual differences and provides for individual growth.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals and operating instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to use various types of tools (manual, electric, pneumatic, etc.).
• Basic computer skills
• Well-developed communication skills - both written & oral
• Knowledge of resins, materials and packaging products.
• Knowledge of safety equipment/procedures on all presses and machinery.
• Knowledge of lot control & lot control processes.
• Ability to pass the necessary testing to obtain a lift truck license.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:   

• Minimum of six (6) months in a like or similar position.
