Project Accountant

TD Thornton is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant to join us. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project accounting, financial management, and client management. You will manage project finances, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide financial insights to support Accounts Receivable.

Key Responsibilities:·       Project Accounting: Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of employee timesheets and export time data into QuickBooks Online (QBO) for invoicing.·       Client Invoicing: Prepare and submit client invoices in QBO, gather and organize backup documentation, get deliverable confirmations signed, and submit invoice packages to clients.·       PO and Project Setup: Process new client purchase orders, set up new projects, estimates, and classes, and update TSheets and Expensify data as needed.·      Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports in Expensify and synchronize with QBO.·       Reporting: Provide project-related financial reports and other information to Project Engagement Managers.·       Software/Application Admin: Manage employee setups, projects, classes, and service items in TSheets and Expensify; train employees.·       Bookkeeping: Record client payments, review payment remittances, and update contract trackers.
Qualifications:·       Mid-level experience in project accounting and financial management.·       Strong understanding of vendor management and accounting standards.·       Excellent organizational and communication skills.·       Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, TSheets, and Expensify.·       Ability to provide strategic financial insights and support to project teams.
You’ll be prepared for this job if you have…·       A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.·       Five-plus years of work experience in project accounting or financial management.·       Good verbal and written communication skills.
