Job Description

Overall Job Summary: Responsible for the Transport & Trade related Commercial agenda in the Logistics Region, ensuring actions to optimize business value via external partners by leading procurement, Contract and Vendor Management.

Core Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:

  • Lead the regional Transport & Trade related commercial agenda, ensuring strong Vendor & Contract.
  • Management towards external partners to optimize business value.
  • Responsible for qualitative execution of Transport & Trade related procurement activities, including ensuring key stakeholder involvement in procurement process.
  • Responsible for contract & vendor management of regional Transport & Trade related contracts and business partners.
  • Ensure global commercial guidelines, templates, processes and regional legislation is followed in the Logistics Region.
  • Ensure close collaboration with regional Transport Operation Teams, tracking and evaluating supplier performance against contract terms and agreed KPIs.
  • Ensure strong collaboration with central Commercial team to identify and implement the most optimal regional procurement-, negotiation- and commercial strategy.
  • Follow the global governance model and approval process, based on defined thresholds for commercial spend.
  • Lead the regional governance model and approval process, based on defined thresholds related to Transport & Trade commercial spend, ensuring alignment with key regional stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Act as escalation point and assist in regional commercial topics and disputes.
  • Responsible to ensure compliant Vendor and Contract Management of regional Transport & Trade suppliers.
  • Ensure regional commercial strategy in alignment with regional and global needs, objectives and strategies.
  • Lead the work to ensure standardization of contracts, SLAs and rate cards together with Transport and Trade Operations teams, to improve decision-making and category strategy development.
  • Actively stay up-to-date on global logistics end-to-end operational status, KPIs, issues and risks.
  • Identify sustainability opportunities and challenges from a social, economic and environmental perspective

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Great ability to collaborate, interact and navigate with central and regional teams and stakeholders, both internally and externally, with all level of seniority.
  • Deep expertise in procurement, negotiation and Contract & Vendor management for Logistics related services and processes, also providing good understanding of global standards and local legislations.
  • Strong understanding of logistics supplier requirements as well as compliance-, sustainability- and performance criterias
  • Strong analytical and financial knowledge, consistently focusing on driving customer value and improving profitability to generate business value.
  • Demonstrated visionary ability, providing a holistic view and anticipating future consequences and trends.
  • Ability to independently draft and present deliverables, recommendations, and communications strategies.
  • Strong strategic and analytical mindset, including ability to plan, prioritize and manage high numbers of tasks with varying workload and importance.
  • Strategic logistics and supply chain experience and sound understanding of operational processes.
  • Structured way of working - flexible and pragmatic approach to secure quick wins.
  • Substantial commercial and contract administration experience.
