Workdays: Monday - Friday

Work Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Location: 1115 Mission Road, San Antonio, TX 78210


Mission: Seton Home works to break the cycle of abuse and poverty by providing a caring home, education, and support services necessary to transform the lives of pregnant and parenting teen mothers and their children.




Summary:


The Lead Clinician will be responsible overseeing the clinical and parenting services provided at Seton Home, to include but not limited to individual, family, and group therapy. The Lead Clinician will conduct and oversee assessments and is responsible for the development and implementation of therapeutic treatment plans. The Lead Clinician will offer recommendations for client’s permanency planning. The Lead Clinician is directly supervised by the Program Director or designee and is subject to work overtime and be on-call for clients and staff. Maintains necessary client records, provides liaison with referral sources and providers. The clinician will assist in discharge planning and other duties as assigned. The clinician will follow all Seton Home policies regarding reporting abuse and neglect.


Position Responsibilities:


  • *Oversee all therapeutic and parenting treatment interventions.
  • *Oversee and monitor the completion of all service plans.
  • *Oversee and monitor all clinical and family entries into designated portal.
  • *Train new clinical staff.
  • *Provide supervision and support to all clinical staff in an effort to meet or exceed program outcomes.
  • Conduct intake interviews and assess client mental health as needed.
  • Prepare goal-oriented treatment plans, diagnostic assessments, service plans, and progress reports.
  • Facilitate client groups on specific issues as needed.
  • Provide case consultations and/or crisis interventions.
  • Maintain therapeutic services within Seton Home and funding source guidelines.
  • Must be sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.
  • Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
  • Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory.
  • Every employee is required to take a solution-oriented approach in their interactions and undertakings, as well as being a team member that promotes collaboration and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the organization.
  • As a Seton Home employee, attendance and successful completion of a 10-day New Employee Orientation is mandated for the position. The inability to meet this requirement will conclude employment with the Agency.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director, Senior Director or Vice President.


Supervisory Responsibilities:


The Lead Clinician is responsible for the direct supervision of Seton Home’s Clinicians and Parenting staff. The Lead Clinician ensures that services are provided in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures, TDFPS Minimum Standards, Office of Refugee Resettlement- Division of Unaccompanied Children's Services National Care Standards, and other stakeholders. The Lead Clinician is supervised by Emergency Shelter Program Director.
