ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF)

Effective Third Party Management (TPM) enables Key to achieve its strategic goals and objectives, while ensuring Third Party products and services are provided in a safe and sound manner and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The TPM Team administers the bank’s TPM Policy and Program which outlines Key’s approach to oversee and manage Key’s Third Party relationships and the associated risks. The size, criticality, and complexity of Key’s TPM Program is constantly evolving to address emerging risks, which has increased the demand for 1st line of defense Risk Management professionals like you! The Business Risk and Controls (BRC) TPM Associate Risk Advisor is an individual contributor role reporting to the TPM Director or TPM Operations Manager. The role utilizes the Archer Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) application to provide system maintenance support to all TPM Program stakeholders and ensures GRC and other source system records are current, complete, and accurate. The role maintains and executes new engagement activation procedures, existing engagement termination procedures, and ad hoc requests received through the TPM Team mailbox and through GRC change management requests. The role supports the broader TPM team with other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Execute and document change management and maintenance activities performed in accordance with TPM procedures and Program requirements.
  • Develop an understanding of risk management requirements related to the TPM Program.
  • Develop an understanding of the risks and controls within the TPM Program.
  • Escalate identified TPM Program control gaps with control owner.
  • Assist Management in writing clear and concise operating procedures.
  • Process change management requests including due date changes, role changes, action items modifications, and Affirmation changes within GRC.
  • Build and sustain positive working relationships with relevant TPM Program stakeholders.
  • Execute engagement activation termination activities through control reports and GRC requests.
  • Monitor TPM Team Mailbox, respond or escalate requests where appropriate
  • Update new engagement records, including assigning LOB, TPM, and Procurement roles, adding LOB profile, updating status, and assigning a BRC TPM Risk Advisor.
  • Provide general support to the TPM team.
  • Provide input and recommendations that will enhance the TPM Policy, Program, and activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior Third Party Management, Risk Management, or Operations experience.
  • Knowledge of financial services products, services, and processes.
  • Demonstrated customer service and analytical skills.
  • The ability to work independently and make decisions with limited management oversight.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to adhere to the structure and rigor of a well-defined process.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Systems Thinking – synchronizes resources while maintaining a high-level understanding of all the processes, systems, and the impact to LOBs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in the Archer GRC systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree or professional certification in vendor management, audit, risk management or a business discipline.
  • A solid understanding of third party risk management and related regulatory requirements and laws.
