Regional Environmental Coordinator
Key Purpose
The Regional Environmental Coordinator will be key in managing environmental risk across the client's Americas’ real estate portfolio, working with ISS, clients, and other stakeholders to drive sustainability performance improvements.
The scope of this position includes environmental data management, compliance management, sustainable design and operations, and engagement and behavior change; Location(s) New York, New Jersey, or Wilmington, Delaware on a hybrid basis.
Success Criteria
- Monitor and assess: Manage environmental data and analytics. Own and present customer reports tracking performance trends, data quality, and improvement opportunities
- Manage risk: Oversee and coordinate compliance activity for the region, assess and report on risk to local and global client stakeholders
- Influence Change: Engage with stakeholders, including client colleagues, to embed and drive sustainability culture. Act as the first point of contact for regional colleague environmental networks. Oversee communications and engagement programs

Ideal Candidate Experience
- A bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, natural resources management, or a related field
- 3+ years experience in sustainability, preferably in Corporate Retail Estate
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a tea
- Experience working directly with clients
- Project management skills
- Strong data management skills
- Experience with ESG / sustainability data management and reporting platforms (a plus)
Key Accountabilities
- Support the development of a strong environmental culture through the client CRES function
- Embed the client EMS and provide support and training, work with stakeholders to communicate performance and drive engagement
- Coordinate environmental data collection across the region, verify accuracy, undertake trend and performance analysis, and develop a data improvement plan
- Work with stakeholders to drive environmental performance improvements
- Own the regional net zero delivery plan for the Americas, providing regular updates to local and global stakeholders
- Assess training needs
- Own, monitor, and report on corrective actions relating to internal and external assurance and certification activity
- Oversee regional pollution risk management programs, assess pollution risk, and develop controls. Review control measures regularly.
- Monitor, assess, and provide guidance on environmental legislation
- Work with stakeholders on the integration of client sustainability standards into CRES projects
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
- Must be able to travel
