About the role
This Faculty position is involved in Clinical Facilitation. The position plans, schedules and assigns nursing students to each clinical rotation and provides on-going clinical faculty oversight to clinical sites. Responsibilities also include coordinating clinical experiences, engaging in public relations activities to ensure positive and professional working relationships are maintained with current clinical placement sites, and actively seeking new clinical sites for future student placements. The Clinical Facilitator completes clinical call sheets when site visits occur that are logged into a Master Monthly Status Report to demonstrate ongoing clinical oversight has occurred for the term. In addition to the primary role of regional clinical oversight, the Clinical Facilitator is also responsible for teaching the didactic portion of one course per term. This position reports to the Dean and Director of Clinical Placement.

1. Unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado
2. Minimum of a Master's Degree in Nursing.
3. A terminal degree or active pursuit of a terminal degree is preferred.
4. Minimum of one year of didactic or clinical nursing teaching experience.
5. Current CPR certification as a health care provider.
6. Successful completion of a criminal background check.
7. An unencumbered Colorado driver's license.
8. Auto insurance with a copy on file in the business office.
9. Current clinical nursing knowledge within area of specialty and ongoing maintenance of clinical competency.
10. Minimum of three years of recent clinical experience in area of specialty.
11. Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and through learning technologies such as computers and e-mail.
12. Ability to work effectively with clinical agencies, staff, faculty, and students as a member of a team.
