Job Description
CNBC is looking for the next generation of multimedia journalists!
Our 16-month Digital Rotational Program is a postgraduate opportunity designed to provide participants with exposure to a wide range of experiences, ongoing mentorship and targeted training within the fast-paced world of business news at CNBC Digital and CNBC TV.
This program will lead the way for you to apply for exciting internal roles and provide you with the knowledge and tools to thrive in today’s multimedia space.
This program begins September 2026.
What you’ll do:
- Pitch both breaking news and enterprise content for CNBC.com and/or CNBC Make It
- Contribute to the production of CNBC television programs
- Develop sources and build your network
- Conceptualize and assist in producing videos, including scripting, shooting and editing original content
- Use all major social platforms to create and publish sharable multimedia stories
Rotations may include, but are not limited to:
CNBC TV Show (ex. Squawk on the Street)
On a show, you would be part of a team that produces a live television show every day. You will work on every aspect of the show, including producing segments, creating elements for air, booking guests, ordering graphics, social media and being part of the control room team that brings the show to air.
Enterprise Reporting, CNBC.com
CNBC Digital reporters work hard to own the beats that matter most to finance and business readers, including tech, consumer, markets and politics. Each reporting group works closely with a section editor to delve deeply into their beats, chase down scoops and push the news forward.
CNBC TV Assignment Desk/Breaking News
On the assignment desk, expect a fast-paced, high energy work day. You will be working with CNBC reporters from around the world to produce their segments for air and assisting CNBC breaking news coverage throughout the day.
Digital Video
Our digital video team is responsible for the development, production and delivery of original video content across multiple platforms. This includes day-of stories, features, premium content and video series and franchises. Video producers touch all aspects of video creation - from conception, pitching ideas, writing scripts, shooting and editing.
Social Media
Our creative social media team creates shareable multimedia stories and use all major social platforms to publish and distribute this original content. They track social media trends and use this information to develop and execute our social editorial strategies.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree, graduate degree, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong journalistic writing skills, research skills, editorial judgment
- At least 1 year of Digital or TV
