Our main focus is to ensure the safety of the medicine, for the millions of patients who take the products we test. This is achieved through a strong quality focus and an excellent Health Authority audit history and reputation.</p><p><strong>You will enjoy a truly rewarding career in a global, multicultural organisation with a proud heritage, making the world a better, safer place for over 140 years.</strong></p><h3>Job Description</h3><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ensuring GMP, GLP standards are maintained while carrying out testing of drug products in accordance with valid testing procedures and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Write and maintain necessary documentation (test protocols, SOPs, instrumentation manuals and checkout sheets, method transfer reports,) according to the existing SOPs and cGMP standards.</li><li>Lead Laboratory investigations and deviations.</li><li>Review results generated by other analysts for compliance with requirements.</li><li>Ensure laboratories and laboratory equipment are well maintained, and calibrations are carried out at the designated frequencies.</li><li>Carry out method transfers and participate in the validation of analytical test methods as required.</li><li>Ensure that all target dates are met. Communicate status of testing at Tier 1 Unit meetings.</li><li>Represent the Chemistry department in audits where required.</li><li>Write and maintain necessary documentation (test protocols, SOPs, instrumentation manuals and checkout sheets, method transfer reports,) according to the existing SOPs and cGMP standards.</li><li>Assessment of testing results generated in the laboratory and close out of batch analysis.</li><li>Uphold a safe working environment, in a state of audit readiness.</li><li>Maintain own knowledge of cGMPs and relevant analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, UV, PSD, XRPD, wet chemistry, dissolution, etc.).</li><li>Identification and implementation of safety, environmental, quality and service improvements.</li><li>At all times, adopt a safe behaviour by exercising due regard for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues, and clients, in line with the Company’s policies and procedures</li><li>Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Code of Integrity, and act in accordance with SGS Ireland’s Equality &amp; Diversity Policy</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a GMP environment.</li><li>A minimum of one years Chromatography experience</li></ul><p>Science degree in Chemistry or equivalent</p><ul><li>Experience with analytical technologies and demonstrated troubleshooting skills (HPLC, GC, UV, PSD, XRPD, wet chemistry, dissolution, etc.).</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>SGS ISL has a dynamic team culture, committed to employee development. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior QC Analyst to join our growing teams in our state-of-the-art facility.
