Job Description
CapitaLand Development Singapore seeks an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager to design and implement the placemaking programme for our real estate developments, including Singapore Science Park. This role requires a self-starter with a passion for creating vibrant, engaging, and inclusive spaces that foster community, collaboration and destination branding.
Responsibilities
Placemaking Strategy & Programme Design:
Develop and implement a comprehensive placemaking strategy for Singapore Science Park and other destinations
Design innovative programmes and initiatives that enhance the user experience, encourage community engagement and elevate the brand reputation of the destinations
Be actively involved in the day-to-day operations, ensuring all aspects of the programme are executed efficiently and effectively
Audience Development & Engagement:
Identify and target key audiences, including tenants, visitors, and the local community
Develop and execute strategies to draw diverse audiences to the placemaking destination, ensuring active participation in events and programmes
Design outreach and engagement initiatives that resonate with the unique character of the placemaking destination, fostering a strong sense of belonging and community among all audience segments
Marketing & Branding:
Undertake the marketing and branding efforts for the placemaking programme, ensuring alignment with the destination’s brand identity
Create compelling content and campaigns that highlight the unique features and offerings of the destination and spaces
Utilize digital and traditional marketing channels to promote the destination, programmes and events
Events Planning & Management:
Plan, organize, and manage a diverse range of events, including food festivals, tech showcases, wellness activities, and more
Ensure seamless execution of events, from concept to post-event evaluation, maintaining high standards of quality
Collaborate with partners, vendors, and service providers to deliver memorable experiences
Relationship & Partnership Building:
Develop and nurture relationships with tenants, local businesses, community groups, and other stakeholders
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with government agencies, trade bodies, educational institutions, cultural organisations, and other key stakeholders
Seek out sponsorships and partnerships that enhance the value and reach of the placemaking programme
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Service Design, Urban Planning, Event Management or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in audience development, service design, marketing, branding, events planning, project management or a related area, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
Proven track record in developing and implementing successful placemaking or audience development programmes
Strong understanding of marketing principles, digital media, and brand management
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a hands-on approach
Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
