Raytheon is seeking an EHS Sr. Manager to be part of a large Environment, Health & Safety organization and lead a team of Industrial Hygiene & Safety Professionals. The selected candidate must be a self-starter, energetic and able to work in a fast-pace collaborative team environment.
This ideal candidate will have relevant management experience leading a high performing team and will be responsible for developing and implementing industrial hygiene and safety compliance programs. The candidate should demonstrate a track record of continuous improvement for both industrial hygiene and safety programs. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to prioritize and provide timely support for multiple customers, requests and projects daily. The candidate should have strong communications, interpersonal skills to influence internal and external groups including engineers, factory line employees and management.
What You Will Do
- Lead a team focused on developing, implementing and maintaining world-class EH&S programs in a highly technical work environment.
- Oversee the development and implementation of Raytheon Industrial Hygiene/Safety initiatives, projects and programs that support the global EH&S organization.
- Follow the EH&S Management system and work in a team environment to drive business, and corporate EH&S initiatives.
- Assess training needs and support development of targeted training courses and include HOP philosophy into existing training.
- Benchmark and learn from industry best practices to identify improvement opportunities, develop change management plans to incorporate changes/updates to programs.
- Develop and track KPI’s aligned with leading indicator metrics.
- Coordinate with site based EH&S teams to implement lessons learned and mitigations following serious incidents or near-misses.
- Works with key stakeholders to develop policy, standard work, and best practices for emerging technologies such as High Energy Lasers, Robotics, Additive manufacturing.
- Apply Human Organizational Performance philosophies to Health and Safety programs.
- Apply CORE (Customer Oriented, Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvements to existing processes, practices the EH&S management system. Support in-depth analysis of the business for EH&S improvement opportunities and develops/implements programs to reduce risk and achieve and maintain compliance.

Communicate with many levels of program, other contractor and government stakeholders and works to positively guide parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures, and practices.
Qualifications You Must Have
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Typically requires an applicable degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience
- At least 5 years of leadership experience
- Experience with project and/or program management.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
- Understanding of factory equipment, manufacturing, field safety, contractor safety and EH&S management systems; experience working in a fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy within a diverse organization.
- Continuous Improvement experience e.g. CORE, Six Sigma, LEAN etc. strongly desired. Strong technical, interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
