A Brief Overview
The Executive Director, Sales, provides leadership and support to a local and national team of first line Sales Directors and their Sales Consultants and is accountable for the success of an assigned industry vertical. Truly a leader of leaders, Executive Directors guide and develop successful Sales Directors that focus on leading high-performing Sales Consultants who generate new business nationally within their industry and increase our market share in a highly consultative value selling environment for a suite of HR products and services. What you will do

  • Strategize with the National Vice President (NVP) of Sales to set sales objectives and develop sales strategies to achieve the monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.
  • Hire, attract, retain and develop top talent through while providing exceptional leadership and driving an extraordinary sales culture.
  • Empower, inspire, lead, train, coach, develop, direct, inspect and evaluate a regional sales leadership team of Sales Directors.
  • Work closely cross functionally to establish successful sales programs and initiatives that drive business results.
  • Work with Channel Sales partners to drive our vertical, industry, and channel initiatives.
  • Review business results from the assigned territory to assess customer needs, volume potential, price schedules and discount rates, and develop sales campaigns and business plan adjustments.
  • Participate in annual and quarterly planning, and prepare and discuss reports for and with management, as requested.
  • Achieve quota and increase revenue in assigned territory through collaboration and planning.
  • Establish forecast planning with the RVP and partner groups to forecast and adjust plans as needed to hit sales goals.
  • Hold your directors to a detailed and accurate sales forecast; build gap to plan activities to address any variances.
  • Track customer, market, and competitor activity to develop market sales strategies and regional demand gen campaigns.
  • Influence and build TriNet’s brand reputation.
  • Act as a key player in championing corporate change initiatives.
  • Foster cooperation, communication, and commitment among team members and across boundaries to ensure achievement of Key Performance Indicators.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically 10+ years sales and business development experience with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets required
  • Typically 5+ years sales leadership experience, preferably leading first line managers required
  • Proven PEO experience preferred
