Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced North America Logistics Specialist to join our team at Quaker Houghton, a leading global chemical manufacturing company. As a key member of our logistics team, the North America Logistics Specialist will be responsible for assisting the logistics operations for Quaker Houghton in North America. This includes managing the flow of goods, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of our products to our customers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in logistics, data analytics, and excel expertise, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

* Manage the master freight spreadsheet and update prior to coding and auditing invoices

* Code 50+ parcel shipments/monthly, including logging into FedEx/UPS websites, paying open invoices, and downloading invoices for coding

* Pay and Code FedEx Invoices, 10+ accounts averaging 175+ shipments/month

* Code logistics related invoices in Medius averaging 125+/month

* Assist in preparing and sending out pickup requests for RMA (return material) pickups and empty steel tote pickups

* Process freight claims, including gathering necessary documents, determining cause of claim, and filing claims with carriers

* Provide LTL quotes using 4PL TMS, locate carrier information, tracking numbers, and shipment status, and obtain BOLs/PODs from multiple resources

* Provide Customs documentation, as needed

* Provide liquid bulk quotes and analyze and maintain liquid bulk lane rates

* Help facilitate expedites and special needed shipment requirements, provide necessary paperwork, and locate missing shipments

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes

* Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, inventory turnover, and freight costs

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management in the chemical manufacturing industry
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analytics using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel
• Excellent Excel skills with ability to dive deep into data analytics and assist in data visualization
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work at least 50+ hours per week
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Intermediate level of proficiency in Excel, with experience in accounting (GL Coding)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with logistics software such as JDE, 4PL TMS, Slim Stock, etc.

* Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g. APICS)

* Familiarity with chemical manufacturing industry regulations and compliance requirements
