Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanic

Description

Coastal Mechanical, a business unit of Rogers Building Solutions and one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Southeast, is currently seeking experienced commercial Sheetmetal mechanics to work in the Orlando Florida area on large commercial projects. Mainly hospitals, schools, Universities, and Government facilities. This is a Safety Sensitive position.

Requirements

Requirements and responsibilities:

· Mechanics 4-6 years Commercial Sheetmetal Duct installation experience

· Fabricate, assemble, install, sheet metal equipment and HVAC duct

· Must be able to read blueprints and read specs

· Follow safety procedures

· Ability to work independently on Special Projects

· Background checks, motor vehicle checks, drug screening performed

· Position may include constant walking/standing, lifting/pulling, climbing ladders and outside work with weather conditions.

Essential Functions:

· Climbing up and down ladders

· Push, pull and frequently carry objects as tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. –

· Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. – Stand and walk for long periods of time. –

· See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others.

· Overtime and weekend availability, regular attendance

· Work in heat and various other weather conditions

· Possible travel to current job sites within Florida
