Description Overview
This Project Manager position is part of Perrigo’s Stage Gate™ organization. Stage Gate™ is the governance model used for authorizing projects within Perrigo. Project Managers are responsible for the Stage Gate™ process of project approval and/or for executing the Stage Gate™ approved projects by leading cross functional teams.
Scope of the Role
- Proactively monitors progress and issues progress reports; resolves issues and initiates appropriate corrective action to ensure critical milestones are met.
- Coordinates clear communications to all key stakeholders, reporting and oversight of interdependencies and risks, to ensure the realization of the projected benefits.
- Conducts project planning, tracking, scope management, ensuring quality compliance, execution and reporting.
- Manages communications with all stakeholders by reporting the progress at regular agreed intervals to the Stage Gate Manager, Functional leads and Gate Keepers (Stage Gate).
- Maintains all appropriate project documentation including scope, project costs, baseline critical timeline.
- Supports Manager and other Project Managers to identify process improvements, efficiencies and better ways of working
Experience Required
- Understanding of project management principles and methods
- Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated planning and organization competency
- These skills are normally acquired through completion of bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline combined with a typically 4 years work experience preferably in the pharmaceutical, nutrition, or medical device industries
- Previous experience in a project management role is preferred
