Assistant/Deputy Manager (IP Commercialisation)


[What you will be working on]
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead/Support in TP’s IP commercialisation efforts and initiatives to market TP’s IP and establish industry network
• Work closely with the various internal (e.g. Schools) and external (e.g. colleagues from other institutions, IPI Singapore) stakeholders in the technology transfer ecosystem to achieve MOE’s KPIs for commercialisation.
• Lead/support in drafting of technology offers of TP’s intellectual properties that are ready for commercialisation
• Organise exhibitions, locally or overseas, to market TP’s intellectual properties and technological capabilities
• Lead/support in IP commercialisation negotiations with industry to devise deals acceptable to both companies and TP’s management, and in compliance with Natinoal IP Protocol
• Manage all internal approval process, including the proposed IP pricing and commercialisation terms and conditions
• Lead/support team to manage all licensees in fulfilling their obligations
• Perform other duties as assigned.

[What we are looking for]
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Education in engineering, science or computer science
• Three years of experience in technology development management or IP commercialisation (Deputy Manager).
• IT savvy and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Photoshop and Powtoon (or equivalent) would be advantageous.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, and able to work well with people (both internally and externally) at all levels.
• Able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and priorities within tight deadlines.
• Some form of postgraduate training (such as Graduate Certificate in IP, Master of Science in IP Management) in intellectual property would be desirable but not absolutely necessary.
