Engineering Manager

Ichor Systems is hiring for an Engineering Manager, based out of our Sauk Rapids, MN location. Reporting to the Sr Director of Engineering, this position will  lead a cross-functional engineering team in the design, development, and production of advanced semiconductor components. The successful candidate will oversee engineering operations from product concept through to high-volume manufacturing, ensuring technical excellence, timely delivery, and cross-departmental alignment.

Specific job duties:

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers (design, test, process, product, and/or packaging engineers).

• Drive the development of new semiconductor components, including design reviews, prototyping, validation, and qualification.

• Collaborate closely with R&D, Product Management, Operations, and Quality teams to define product requirements and execution plans.

• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful product launches.

• Ensure robust design-for-manufacturability (DFM), design-for-test (DFT), and reliability strategies are implemented.

• Continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance team productivity and product quality.

• Support customer engagements on technical topics, including issue resolution, custom requirements, and product roadmaps.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices

   

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or a related field.

• 7+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor component design, development, or manufacturing.

• Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional engineering teams and managing complex projects.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
