Program Manager II (Part-Time) - Global Health

As a Program Manager for our Adolescent Global Health Program, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and overseeing initiatives aimed at improving the health and well-being of adolescents at AMPATH and other partner sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead impactful projects, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and contribute to the advancement of global health outcomes among adolescents.
- Program Development and Strategy:
- Assist in the development of comprehensive strategies and action plans to address key adolescent health issues.
- Support needs assessments and support research to identify priority areas for intervention.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design and adapt evidence-based programs that promote adolescent health and well-being.
- Project Management:
- Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of adolescent health projects at AMPATH and other partner sites, including NYC.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans to ensure efficient project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and implement corrective actions to achieve project goals effectively.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, NGOs, academic institutions, and other key stakeholders working in adolescent health at partner sites.
- Facilitate collaboration and partnerships to leverage resources, expertise, and support for program initiatives.
- Represent the organization at conferences, workshops, and other relevant events to promote awareness of adolescent health issues and advocate for policy change.
- Capacity Building and Training:
- Assist in providing training and technical assistance to program staff, partners, and community members on adolescent health topics, program implementation, and monitoring and evaluation methodologies.
- Support the development of adolescent medicine training programs for physicians, nurses and mid-level providers.
- Foster a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the organization and among program stakeholders.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Develop robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track program performance, outcomes, and impact.
- Collect, analyze, and report on program data to assess effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and ensure accountability to stakeholders.
- Utilize evaluation findings to inform programmatic decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Masters Degree preferred, Bachelor's degree or combination of applicable experience and education
- 5+ years of experience in program management, preferably in adolescent health or related fields.
- Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating adolescent health programs, particularly in low-resource settings.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, facilitate collaboration, and communicate complex concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, and advocacy.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis and interpretation, with experience using statistical software and/or data management systems.
- Commitment to advancing adolescent health and rights, with a deep understanding of the social, cultural, and economic factors influencing adolescent well-being globally.
- Fluency in English required. Additional language skills relevant to program locations are a plus.
