We are currently seeking a Senior Manager of Consumer Electronics (CE) Demand Planning and Supply Chain. In this role, you are responsible for the management of the parts demand forecast of CE Parts Operation, CE inventory management including Excess and Obsoletes and procurement CE parts reporting under GPCA organization. This person will supervise a team of demand planners and leads demand-planning activities including inventory disposition of parts, develop effective forecast models based on industry trends, demand patterns, and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy. The Senior Manager also manages inventory to ensure faster turnover preventing aging at each parts warehouses. This includes management of alternative parts ensuring allocation of parts and FIFO is observed. This person will be in charge of fulfillment of parts orders in accordance with purchasing terms and conditions. This person will serve as a lead resource in resolving invoicing, accounting, vendor authorization, and return material authorization (RMA), vendor contract, and vendor selection for partial function transfer to 3PL BPO vendor. The Senior Manager also manages vendor credit issues to increase the operational efficiency of Samsung Electronic America’s Service Parts Procurement department. Manage purchasing activities in accordance with ethical business standards and established purchasing policies and procedures. Support assigned organizations to fulfill the procurement needs and requirements of product development projects and activities. Managing teams with focus on policy and strategy implementation and control rather than development; short-term operational/tactical responsibilities. Typically, accountable for providing sufficient information for higher authority to make recommendations on budget and policies and for medium-term planning.
Responsibilities include:
Demand Planning Leadership:
Lead development or enhancement of effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
Lead demand planners and procurement staff. Supports assigned organizations to fulfill the parts procurement needs based on demand forecast and requirements of product development projects and activities
Enhance SOPs to adapt to change that places, processes or follows up on orders to expedite and ensure timely delivery to meet project schedules.
Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities and address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
