Role overview. 

• We are looking for a Senior Systems Architect to join our team in Europe, to work closely with our engineers to architect and develop world-class systems for our clients.

As a Beyond Senior Systems Architect, you’ll have the chance to:

• Lead Architectural Transformation: Design and oversee the transition from monoliths to services-oriented and/or microservices architectures, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Domain Analysis and Strategy Development: Work with technical leaders to identify key business domains and formulate a modernization strategy.
• Modern Architectural Practices: Employ modern architectural patterns (hexagonal, onion, clean) and styles (service-oriented, event-based, microservices) in designing solutions.
• Cloud Integration and Expertise: Utilize extensive knowledge of cloud capabilities, especially AWS, to enhance system scalability and performance.
• Collaboration and Communication: Partner with the CTO, technical leaders, and subject matter experts, effectively communicating architectural decisions to inform and inspire.
• Mentorship and Standards: Guide and support engineering teams, contributing to the maintenance of coding standards and best practices.

As a Beyond Senior Systems Architect, we’d look for you to be able to bring:

• Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in transitioning to service-based architectures in commercial settings.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of modern architectural patterns, styles, and high-throughput system design.
• Cloud Mastery: Extensive knowledge of AWS and other cloud technologies.
• Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Collaborative Spirit: Experience in working closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
• Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; relevant certifications preferred.

Things that will make you stand out:

• PHP Ecosystem Familiarity: Experience with PHP and related technologies.
• Containerization and Cloud Technologies: Knowledge in technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Project Management Skills: Proficiency in managing complex projects and diverse teams.
