Senior Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and create data systems
• Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Design how these data sets can be integrated (linked) to gain useful insights.
• Perform an assessment of the completeness and accuracy of data sets and make efforts to improve the data quality.
• Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
• Build interactive dashboards to satisfy use cases defined with the client during workshops in order to prioritise business and information needs

Requirements

Technical skills

• Proven working experience as a Data Analyst
• Experience in PowerBI is an asset
• Technical expertise regarding data models, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc), PowerBI
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
