Job Description

Are you fluent in CPT codes and speak fluent EOB? So am I. As a go-to expert in all things billing and reimbursement, I manage the full life cycle of insurance claims and account resolution—keeping our revenue cycle healthy and stress-free.

What I Do:

  • Own the daily billing and collections process, making sure claims fly out the door correctly the first time—and payments don’t stay stuck in limbo.

  • Track, monitor, and reconcile accounts like a detective, using payer portals, billing systems, and a whole lot of follow-up.

  • Master the world of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and special programs—turning confusing denial codes into opportunities for payment.

  • Provide top-tier customer service, because patients and payers deserve clarity, kindness, and timely responses.

  • Use independent and critical thinking to tackle billing puzzles and resolve claim hiccups before they become major issues.

  • Act as the team’s go-to resource for third-party billing questions and payer quirks—because no one has time to be on hold with an insurance company all day.

  • Work across multiple platforms (Excel, Outlook, EMRs, and more), all while juggling compliance rules, federal guidelines, and internal protocols.

Tools of the Trade:

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • 10-key calculator skills (fast and accurate)

  • Strong knowledge of payer manuals, billing workflows, and claim codes

  • Clear communication (written and verbal) and an eye for detail

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in professional or insurance billing

  • Familiarity with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement practices

  • Solid working knowledge of reimbursement comment codes and payer provider manuals

  • Comfortable with computers, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and 10-key entry

  • Extensive knowledge of third-party billing procedures and a passion for getting claims paid right
