Social Work Team Leader

Overview

To ensure the safety of vulnerable people at risk in the community in accordance with the HSE Safeguarding Policy 2014, to provide oversight of all preliminary screenings completed by HSE services and to assist in the reviewing of safeguarding plans.

To provide necessary safeguarding training in relevant approved centres, to create awareness around the abuse of older persons/those with disabilities and how to report and prevent same. This service also provides a duty safeguarding support service to offer necessary support and guidance to members of the public and professionals.

 

Essential Criteria

The criteria for this post is a relevant social work qualification from an approved body, an NQSW or equivalent professional award.

• The candidate will require at least four years post qualification in a relevant social work field with experience in team management and supervision of social workers and providing clinical supervision also preferable.

AND 

• The candidate should have a knowledge of adult safeguarding and risk assessment work with vulnerable service users.
