Toledo Tool & Die is adding Maintenance Apprentices to our team to support our continued growth.
This is a full-time position based in Toledo, Ohio. We offer competitive wages, growth opportunities, and a clean, safe work environment.
Come join our team! Hours for this position are typically:
- 1st shift Monday – Friday 6:00AM – 2:00PM
- 2nd shift Monday – Friday 2:00PM – 10:00PM
- 3rd shift Sunday - Thursday 10:00PM - 6:00 AM
*Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekend & some holidays)
*Subject to shift rotation every 6 months to gain experience to different leaders
*Shift subject to change once apprenticeship is complete

- Starting pay $23/hour *See Wage Schedule below*
- $1.50 shift premium (2nd shift)

- Prior experience with various tools, industrial machinery, equipment, and processes that are used in machinery repair.
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical fundamentals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- ·Assists with the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
- Performs basic preventative maintenance tasks under the supervision of a qualified technician.
- Learns to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Supports the installation and setup of new equipment and machinery.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures and company policies.
- Documents maintenance activities and assist with maintaining accurate records.
- Participates in training sessions and on-the-job training.
- Shadows experienced maintenance technicians to gain hands-on experience.
- Follows all health and safety regulations, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and standard operating procedures
- Attends required courses during non-work hours as outlined in the Maintenance Apprenticeship agreement.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Able to enroll in and take courses at the designated community college. (Courses are Company paid).
**Classes will be taken outside of working hours and must maintain a B average. **
- Willing to commit to completion of the apprenticeship program
- Willing and able to have a flexible work schedule to meet company needs based on machine downtime, installation projects etc.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds.
- Candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays).
The wage schedule is as follows:
- Entry Wage $23.00
- Complete 1 Competency $24.00
- Complete 2 Competencies $25.00
- Complete 3 Competencies $26.00
- Complete 4 Competencies $27.00
- Complete 5 Competencies $28.00
- Complete 6 Competencies $29.00
- Complete 7 Competencies $30.00
- Complete all 8 Competencies $32.00
