Role Description:

As a Senior Strategy Operations Manager, you’ll be at the center of ShipBob’s most critical and high-impact initiatives. You’ll lead large-scale, zero-to-one programs, shape companywide long-range and OKR planning, and jump into high-stakes, high-ambiguity projects that need a sharp mind and steady hand. This is a highly visible role with regular exposure to ShipBob’s Senior Leadership Team and CEO. 

You’ll report to the VP of Strategy Operations, a key leader in a centralized team reporting directly to the CEO. 

What you’ll do:

  • Steer and execute large, cross-functional programs and strategic initiatives from zero to launch. 
  • Build analysis, frameworks, business cases, and whitepapers to support senior decision-making. 
  • Partner closely with the VP of Strategy Operations and senior leaders to shape and execute company strategy. 
  • Operate autonomously across multiple business units—navigating ambiguity, aligning stakeholders, and delivering impact. 
  • Act as a "special ops" resource, owning critical initiatives that are urgent, undefined, or without clear ownership. 
  • Run strategic planning cycles—ensuring business units deliver rigorous, ROI-backed plans on time. 
  • Transition matured initiatives to operational teams with a sound handoff plan and knowledge transfer. 
  • Spot inefficiencies or procedural gaps in workflows and lead effective change management initiatives. 
  • Influence across all levels—bringing people, process, and tech together to create scalable solutions. 
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary. 

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • MBA or equivalent experience (e.g., startup founder, management consulting, senior operations leader). 
  • 6–10 years of experience in business operations, strategy, program management, or general management. 
  • Executive-level communication skills—both written and verbal—with experience presenting to C-suite leaders. 
  • Excellent data fluency, with experience using SQL and BI tools to turn insights into action. 
  • Demonstrated track record leading cross-functional projects in high-growth or fast-changing environments. 
  • Comfort working in ambiguity with a bias toward action and accountability.<
