0.9FTE, fixed-term contract until 30th June 2028, based in Elizabeth.
What you’ll do
Lead the coordination and delivery of a highly impactful program that helps reduce social isolation and strengthens community connection across the northern region. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a growing space where meaningful community engagement and person centred support makes a real difference in people's lives.
In this role, you'll work closely with community partners, stakeholders and internal teams to ensure participants are connected to the right supports, services and social networks to increase independence and wellbeing. Combining community development, case management and trauma informed approaches, you'll help identify emerging community needs, strengthen local partnerships and contribute to positive outcomes for individuals and the wider community.
You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
● Coordinating the delivery and ongoing development of the Community Connections program across the region.
● Building strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders and local service providers to improve participant outcomes.
● Leading community engagement initiatives, networking opportunities and local partnership activities.
● Identifying service gaps, monitoring community needs and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
● Supporting, mentoring and supervising a small team of Community Connections Workers to deliver high quality, trauma informed support.
What you’ll bring
To thrive in this role, you will have:
● Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, community services, community development or demonstrated equivalent experience.
● Experience in community engagement, stakeholder relationship management and partnership development.
● Knowledge of the local community services sector and emerging community needs.
● Experience leading or mentoring staff within a community services environment.
