Utility Worker - Night Shift

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors Emptying waste baskets and ashtrays Cleaning venetian blinds, washing down walls, washing windows, heavy vacuuming, and cleaning and mopping of all men's and women's bathrooms Removal of debris from the various buildings Snow removal: shoveling, lifting 50lbs bags of salt, spreading salt, may use tools like ice choppers and snow blowers Move furniture, equipment, etc. Stock supply rooms as instructed Perform other related duties as assigned

 

HOURS: 2:30PM-11:00PM

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school graduate plus 0-6 months of related experience required.
• Experience in general porter duties and knowledge of the proper work procedures and the proper use of equipment is highly preferred.
• Must be able to physically lift boxes and bulk items such as furniture, supplies, etc. up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to safely operate maintenance equipment with standard training including but not limited to: hand trucks, vacuums, floor burnishers, etc.
• The ideal candidate will possess good communication skills (written and verbal).
