Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our General Medicine Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community.
This general medicine unit has 30 patient beds between two units with a combination of private and semi-private rooms. We care for adult and geriatric patients who are admitted for acute multi-system medical diagnoses. The service also provides care for patients following surgical procedures and patients with dual medical and mental health diagnoses. Nurses who wish to work on this unit must develop clinical and compassionate practices in the care of patients with complex medical and mental health conditions.
We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. . Our Professional Nursing Practice Model offers patient and family-centered care that maintains an unwavering focus on what matters most: caring and healing at the patient’s bedside. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation including Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program which is a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses. All new hire registered nurses at Regions Hospital will be automatically enrolled. Our award-winning programs give our patients and their families a place of comfort and healing. Work Schedule: 0.70 FTE. Night shifts. 8 hours during the week and 12 hours every 3rd weekend.
Required Qualifications:
•Degree in Nursing
•Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
•CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
Preferred Qualifications:
•BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
•One year of acute care RN experience is preferred
