About the role

Work Flexibility: Remote

The Teaching Institution Manager is a field-based role responsible for managing strategic relationships and opportunities with Orthopedic residency and fellowship programs in a defined geographic territory.  This includes executing strategic programming inclusive of marketing and education programs with healthcare professionals to drive awareness to Stryker products and services with an acute focus on PGY1-PGY5 Orthopedic Residents and Joint Replacement Fellows.  The Teaching Institution Manager will partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing and Medical Education to develop a customized strategy that bridges customer needs and the commercial strategy of the Joint Replacement division. They will lead customer relationship management responsibilities with residents and fellows and execute hand-offs in partnership with the Sales organization. In addition, the Teaching Institution Manager will be responsible for maintaining account profiles and tracking commercial performance, customer engagement and education activities. 

*This role covers the Western region of the U.S. While remote, we prefer candidates to reside within the Western region for proximity to customers and ease of travel.

What you will do

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at Teaching Institutions, including program leadership, practicing physicians, fellows, and residents.
  • Collaborate with local sales teams to prioritize accounts based on regional and national objectives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Medical Education, Marketing, and Sales to align customer activities with the Joint Replacement division's commercial strategy.
  • Develop and execute customized educational curriculums (e.g., workshops, cadaver labs, speaker events) tailored to customer needs and Stryker's product priorities.
  • Partner with Medical Education to gather and analyze customer feedback on training programs to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collect ongoing voice-of-customer insights to inform and enhance collaborative programs and offerings.
  • Maintain accurate Teaching Institution profiles, including resident and fellow databases within the assigned geography.
  • Manage the Surgeon Connect process, tracking resident and fellow transitions and executing seamless hand-offs to the Sales organization.
  • Drive attendance at national medical education programs and Stryker-sponsored third-party events.
  • Contribute to internal awareness of regional job openings and grant requests and share best practices to enhance program consistency and customer experience.

What you need

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8 years of work experience

Preferred

  • 5 years medical device experience in marketing, sales, or medical education
  • Previous Orthopedic industry experience

$100,500 - $215,300 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 50%
