ProxsysRx is currently recruiting for a Pharmacy Support Specialist to provide administrative and operational support to ensure successful accreditation and reaccreditation processes for healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and specialty pharmacies. Additionally, this role assists in the specialty pharmacy operations team related to liaisons and prior authorization. The Specialist works closely with our pharmacy operations team, accreditation team, quality assurance team, and regulatory agencies to ensure that the organization meets and exceeds accreditation requirements.


 

Essential Functions

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of accreditation applications, reports, and other required documentation.
  • Organize and maintain files, records, and databases related to accreditation processes.
  • Schedule meetings, audits, and surveys with accrediting bodies and internal teams.
  • Prepare and distribute materials for accreditation-related training and meetings.
  • Ensure all accreditation-related documents are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with accrediting standards.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and manuals required for accreditation.
  • Track and manage deadlines for submission of reports, updates, and other accreditation-related tasks.
  • Assist in monitoring the organization’s adherence to accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of corrective action plans when non-compliance is identified.
  • Participate in internal audits and prepare reports on findings.
  • Act as a liaison between various departments and the accreditation team to facilitate communication and coordination of activities.
  • Provide timely updates to stakeholders on the status of accreditation activities and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with the liaisons to support pharmacy operations and prior authorization.
  • Assist in the organization and delivery of training sessions related to accreditation and compliance.
  • Help develop educational materials and resources to support staff understanding of accreditation standards.
  • Maintain a calendar of training sessions and ensure attendance and completion records are kept.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives by gathering data and assisting in the analysis of performance metrics.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements related to accreditation and compliance.
  • Stay informed about changes in accreditation standards and help integrate new requirements into existing processes.
  • Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.

Requirements
  • Must have National Pharmacy Certification (PTCB or NHA) and active pharmacy technician registration in appropriate state(s).
  • Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Must have experience working in a healthcare setting with exposure to accreditation processes. 
  • Must have a basic understanding of accreditation standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., The Joint Commission, URAC, ACHC).
  • Must have strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • A passion for outstanding customer service, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%. Heavier travel during implementation/go-liv.
  • Must be Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with document management systems.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
