As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals and objectives in the Turf and Ornamental market, while developing customer business relationships that create long term value for BASF and our customers.  You will also be responsible for implementation and execution of field tactical activities that maintain and grow our product portfolio.  In addition, you will function as BASF’s face to our customers, as well as many other market influencers and industry partners. 

 

You will live within and manage a territory that consists of AK, WA, OR, MT, ID & WY traveling up to 40% of the time.  Preferred location: Portland, OR area.

 

As a Ornamentals/Turf Sr Sales Rep, you create chemistry by…

 

• Growing our market and product portfolio through promoting innovations, creating solutions for customers, and effectively executing field activities.
• Developing a professional and personal skill set that will positively impact business strategy and growth.
• Building and cultivating strong business relationships with key end users and maintain a working profile of opportunities with each end user.
• Supporting and utilizing a distribution network to increase sales throughout your territory.
• Providing biology and product training to key end users and distribution network, also reporting top opportunities through a strategic monthly review.

 

If you...

 

• Bring your Bachelor Degree and agronomic industry experience (ex: Turf & Ornamentals and/or Pest Control and/or Agricultural Products and/or Lawn Care & Maintenance and/or related disciplines). 5 years Sales experience in the Ag - Ornamental/Turf industry. 
• Have a previous direct sale experience and account/territory management/planning experience.
• Have a strong customer focus and entrepreneurial skills, excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence and effectively communicating across the business.

Pay Transparency

 

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $108,180 - $148,720. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
