Responsibilities:

• Lead department by identifying standard work procedures; prepare work schedules and expedite workflow in a safe yet efficient manner.

• Audit work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.   

• Ensure correct shipment of international orders and hazardous material orders.   

• Monitor shipping department productivity.  Ensure 100% on time delivery to customer request date if product is available.  Continuous Improvement of all processes by striving to reduce wasted manhours and movement. 

• Manage all incoming containers from other countries which includes scheduling and unloading. 

• Oversee all receipts for incoming raw materials and merchandise.

• Oversee all transfers from inventory managed to warehouse managed as required into.

• Oversee all order selection, order picking, order shipment, and billing with accuracy.

• Ensure all warehouse areas met 5S standards, are emptied by end of day, and actively support audits. 

• Facilitate cross training and maintain back-up capability for shipping and receiving functions by using training matrix. 

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree (AS) five (5) or more years of related experience and/or training in the field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

• Leadership and supervisory experience leading teams.

• Experience with multiple forklift types (sit-down, stand-up, cherry-picker, clamp and reach) preferred.  

• Good command of computer skills, basic math, reading and writing is a must. 

• Good communications skills, both written and verbal. 

• Ability to work well in team oriented environment. 

• Excellent sense of safety awareness and good housekeeping. 

• Good problem-solving ability.
