Do you want to take your Human Resources’ career to the next level? Join a rapidly growing organization that will allow you to make an immediate and direct impact on the business. The Director of Human Resources will ensure our talent strategy is maximized throughout two of our largest brands.
What you will do:
- Partner with Chief People Officer to determine overall strategic vision for the HR function and assists in execution of organization-wide HR strategies and goals, serving as the internal expert on HR and functional trends. Drives innovation and continuous improvement within the HR function and organization.
- Act as a business leader in all instances, with HR tools in their toolkit to enable the business to achieve (and over-achieve) their goals.
- Provide broad-based human resources leadership tailored to the needs of the business adding value for the full employee lifecycle. This includes, but is not limited to, acting as a coach and resource to leaders and employees at all levels.
- Work across the organization to ensure optimal organization structure both for the current organization and future organizational state. Anticipate and diagnose organizational need(s) and translate those into talent actions for the organization.
- Drive the creation, development and roll-out of new programs that are designed to meet the changing needs of the organization related to Diversity, Charitable, Engagement and other critical initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders to lead the planning, development, communication, and implementation of the entire talent management process including but not limited to, performance management, calibration, compensation planning, IDP development, and succession planning.
- Create, implement, update, and enforce personnel policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state legislation. Proactively learn about evolving employment laws.
- Oversee and coordinate activities related to acquisitions & divestures.
- Partner with our Talent Acquisition team to ensure roles are correctly defined for recruiting, candidate selection is correct and plays a crucial role driving leadership to provide effective employee on-boarding experience.
- Analyze employee engagement survey data, as well as new hire and exit interview information to identify and address trends. Leverage insights to evolve and guide our approach.
- Partner with others in the organization on communications and external branding efforts.
- Partner with other HR leadership to develop and implement an effective total rewards strategy.
What you will bring:
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of broad HR generalist experience. Ideally this will be a mix of both small and large organizations.
- Experience with talent acquisition, employee engagement, employee on-boarding, total rewards, talent management, data analytics and leadership coaching.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate, coach and influence at all levels of the organization, including the executive level.
- Proven strong change management skills-both individually and across an organization.
- Extensive experience with organizational design.
- Proven ability to drive difficult conversations to effective resolution.
- Desire to operate in a role that is simultaneously strategic and operational.
- Proficiency with MS office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Visio a plus.
