Purpose
The Head of US IT Infrastructure is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery of all IT infrastructure services across the United States for a large global banking institution. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong execution and operational experience, ensuring the seamless delivery of programs and services, including servers, storage, networking, data center management, cloud services, and end-user computing.
What You’ll Do
Service Delivery Management:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of IT infrastructure services, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and reliability of systems.
- Oversee the management of servers, storage, network infrastructure, and cloud services, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance requirements.
- Oversee the delivery of end user technologies for high touch users within Trading and Investment banking areas, ensuring quality, performance, and resiliency.
Infrastructure Remediation Initiatives:
- Drive local execution and tracking of infrastructure remediation initiatives, including software currency, asset management, vulnerability management, and disaster recovery preparedness.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify, prioritize, and implement necessary remediation actions to maintain regulatory compliance and service quality.
Regulatory Compliance and Best Practices:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices specific to the financial services industry, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance and mitigate risks associated with IT infrastructure.
- Support local CIO with participation and support for regulatory exams and meetings
Transformation Leadership:
- Lead and manage infrastructure transformation projects within a highly matrixed organization, driving successful outcomes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning related to infrastructure investments and enhancements.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of IT infrastructure professionals, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
