As the Global Marketing Director at dsm-firmenich, you’ll lead the development and execution of bold, strategic growth plans for the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) market. You’ll dig into market trends, shape compelling campaigns, and collaborate across teams to drive mutual value creation with our customers. The Global Marketing Director will shape our API portfolio, and turn insights into action to drive meaningful and sustainable growth.

Your key responsibilities

• Develop and implement global strategic marketing plans to drive revenue growth in the API segments, lead regional collaboration and adoption
• Manage the full marketing mix including positioning, messaging, distribution, promotion, and product focus
• Analyze market trends, unmet needs, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and shape innovation strategy
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, regulatory, technical development, technical development, and legal teams to support claims development and business goals
• Lead new business development initiatives and innovation projects as it relates to the API portfolio
• Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to strengthen the dsm-firmenich brand and support long-term growth
• Develop and implement alternative business models to ensure mutual value creation with customers based on expert services

You bring

• Minimum 10 years of B2B marketing or business development experience in the science-based pharmaceutical ingredient industry
• Proven success in developing and executing B2B marketing strategies, including positioning, innovation, and competitive differentiation
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical ingredient market, including API manufacturing and/or contract manufacturing leadership experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and work cross-functionally in a matrix organization
• Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities and travel up to 40%

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably technically oriented; Master’s in Business or Marketing preferred, with strong business and financial acumen. Technical education in chemistry, biochemistry, formulation science, or pharmaceutical science a plus
• Experience working internationally or cross-culturally a plus

This position is eligible for the dsm-firmenich Hybrid Working model, spending 1 - 2 days per week in office and the balance of the work week in a home office.
