About the role

Job Title: HR Business Partner

 

Position Summary: 

The HR Business Partner assists the HR leadership team with day-to-day administration of HR policies, programs and procedures to ensure consistent application of policies and practices in compliance with Company Policies and Department of Labor and Employment.  Provides support and assistance on benefits, employee relations, and general HR administration to ensure efficient and effective workflow in the Human Resources function.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist HR Management with the development, administration, support and management of employee relations functions.
  • Ensure consistency in administration and compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure investigations are conducted in a professional manner, compliant with all relevant local, state and federal laws, and that all parties involved are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Work closely with HR Management to develop and implement strategic recruiting strategies and retention methodologies.
  • Complete and process PAFs (Personal Action Forms) as needed.
  • Prepare and maintains employee files. Maintains prospective and current employees’ documentation.
  • Assist in employee terminations as necessary and conduct exit interviews.
  • Assist with various HR projects.
  • Handle other aspects of Human Resources as assigned.

 

Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree with major course work in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration or closely related field or combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five years of experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Courses or seminars related to Human Resources desirable. PHR preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with HRIS system preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must possess good knowledge of employee relations and the principle, practices and procedures of Human Resources management.
  • Must have the ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships and maintaining highly confidential information.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to labor, insurance and safety.
  • Knowledge of the local and regional employment market.
  • Must have an excellent work ethic
  • Must demonstrate the ability and desire to work and succeed in high volume environment
  • Must be motivated, goal-oriented, and demonstrate high initiative
  • Organized and capable of handling multiple tasks
  • Very Good Communication skills both oral and written
