As a motivated Project Manager, you will join a dynamic and collaborative in our pioneering facilities in our Gaithersburg location. As part of this role you will be instrumental in shaping a new functional group aimed at making key investments in breakthrough technologies and builds to maximize AstraZeneca’s clinical trial success.
Accountabilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring ENABL program is delivered to time, quality, budget, project and company quality standards, aligned with AstraZeneca’s strategy. This program is an innovative solution to drive patient selection, accelerating insights into mechanism of therapy resistance and de-risking clinical investment decisions. You will develop and maintain process and systems required to effectively manage a number of time-critical projects. You will ensure plans for platform and capability builds within Translational Medicine and Discovery are optimal and meet overall goals of Project, Change, Business Improvement and Strategy Management. You will also oversee contracting and goods and sample management. You will introduce new ways of planning projects electronically through use of current systems and resources. Lastly, you will keep your knowledge of best practices and new relevant developments up to date.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific discipline
- 5 yrs relevant experience delivering complex impactful projects, on time and within budget
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Advanced degree within field and/or professional certification
- Business Strategy and Portfolio operational experience
- Tumor model development experience within academic, biotech or pharmaceutical industries
- Ability to work in a cross-functional matrixed team with accountabilities across the organization.
