8am - 5pm/ Full Time/ 40 Hours
We are seeking a capable Licensed Practical Nurse Lead/ LPN who has acquired broad experience in caring for patients, and has developed a sound understanding about the care of a particular patient population.
- The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Lead is responsible for providing first level leadership and support to medical assistants, LPNs, and other clinical staff that provide direct care to patients and families.
- The LPN Lead consults with functional leaders and management to clarify policies and procedures related to patient care to ensure consistency among the clinical staff that has direct contact with patients and their families.
- Reviews clinical messaging pools daily to ensure accurate routing of messages to correct teams, and timely responses are provided to patient inquiries. Assigns and reallocate resources as needed to cover clinics of physicians and advance practice providers.
- Actively partners with the departments safety captain to complete audits, ensuring compliance of all safety guidelines. Provides timely communication & distribution of policy and procedural updates to clinical staff.
- Educates the clinical staff regarding proper use and storage of medical equipment.
- Actively participates in the recruitment, on-boarding, and training of new clinical staff. This includes participating in interviews, performing job shadows, identifying and requesting access to applications needed to perform the job, and overall orienting new clinical staff.
- Actively partners with patient access leaders, clinic management, and providers to expedite the scheduling of appointments to meet urgent patient care needs and TEC patient access goals.
- Identifies gaps in clinical processes impacting the patient experience and reports them to the manager for review, correction, and follow up.
- Rounds with other nurses and medical assistants regularly to identify and gather feedback on operational issues adversely impacting patient care and reports them to manager.
- Involved in creating and/or proposing solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program.
- Minimum of 4 years experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Must have good computer skills and be comfortable using different productivity applications.
- Must have current licensure as and LPN in the state of Georgia.
