The People Systems & Operations (PSO) team at Hearst manages the HR technology ecosystem that supports thousands of employees across 300+ businesses globally. We develop and maintain applications that serve employees and empower managers and leaders throughout the employee lifecycle. Whether managing day-to-day processes or implementing new and innovative solutions, our team is integral to supporting a dynamic and growing organization.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) professional to join our team. Reporting to the Core HR Product Owner, the People Systems Product Specialist will play a key role in supporting and enhancing Hearst's HR systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the evolution of HR technology while ensuring seamless systems functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain Oracle Core HR, Talent Management, and Compensation Planning systems to meet organizational needs.
  • Manage the Oracle Journeys product, including overseeing the employee Onboarding checklist.
  • Analyze, design, and implement system improvements to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.
  • Draft functional design documentation for new system features, including reports and integrations.
  • Conduct testing for system upgrades, including new feature implementation and regression testing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers to gather business requirements and deliver tailored HR solutions.
  • Investigate and resolve system-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Oversee data integrity, configure system settings, and manage security protocols.
  • Document workflows and provide training to end-users on system functionalities and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with Oracle HCM or comparable HR systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate, interpret, and leverage data for decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders, customers, and team members.
  • A proactive attitude toward learning and expanding skillsets in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in New York City.  The reasonable estimate, if hired in New York City, is $85,000-$95,000.  Please note this information is specific to those hired in New York City.  If this role is open to candidates outside of New York City, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location.  A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.  Hearst provides a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, 401(k), paid holidays and paid time off, employee assistance programs, and more.
