Location: Airway Heights, Washington (Fairchild Airforce Base)

Type: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-Time/ Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (this position requires driving)

Compensation: $24.00 - $27.00/hour

Tessera is seeking a Hard Working and Motivated Operations Supervisor with a positive attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide hands-on supervision, coaching, and support to janitorial staff, leads, and supervisors to ensure strong performance and accountability.

  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused work environment aligned with company values and contract requirements.

  • Oversee daily custodial field operations to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and overall quality standards are consistently met.

  • Conduct training, coaching, counseling, and performance management, including evaluations, probation reviews, and recognition programs.

  • Assist with staffing, schedules, and coverage to maintain operational continuity during absences, callouts, and peak workload periods.

  • Conduct regular quality control inspections and ensure timely corrective actions are completed.

  • Attend safety meetings and reinforce compliance with all safety procedures, policies, and PPE requirements.

  • Investigate and resolve employee issues and workplace concerns in a timely, professional manner.

  • Serve as a field leader and customer point of contact, conducting site visits and responding to service needs and requests.

  • Collaborate with customers and internal leadership to ensure satisfaction and contract compliance.

  • Assist with administrative functions including reporting, scheduling, job orders, and documentation.

  • Maintain accurate records related to timekeeping, attendance, training, evaluations, incidents, and operational reporting.

  • Manage supplies, inventory, equipment, and company-issued property including keys, vehicles, and devices.

  • Safely operate and oversee janitorial equipment and ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and PPE.

  • Support floor care and custodial duties in the field as needed to maintain service levels.

  • Partner with vocational and support staff on training, development, and program participation.

  • Maintain flexibility to work varied schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • All Other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications:   

  • 2+ years of custodial, janitorial, or facilities operations experience required.

  • 1+ year of supervisory or lead experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of custodial procedures, floor care equipment, and cleaning chemicals.

  • Understanding of workplace safety standards, PPE use, and compliance practices.

  • Experience with scheduling, staffing coordination, and workforce support.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, leadership, and customers.

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Ability to maintain accurate records and operational documentation.
