TEAM LEAD III - WELD

                   

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for the daily coordination of assigned area.  This includes training and monitoring production processes of a small group of team members.  In addition, this position will be responsible for providing a safe work environment, ensuring standard work is being performed, maintaining 5S levels, identifying and resolving quality issues, identifying and implementing poka yoke, addressing line stop/lost production issues, collecting data and maintaining visual displays, participating in RIP’s, and filling in for absent team members on an as needed basis per supervisor’s request.

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have strong Fabrication background.
  • Must be weld certified.
  • Minimum of 2 years welding experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of welding processes.
  • Related technical ability and good understanding of production processes and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Flexible, with strong teamwork orientation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, including experience coaching and training others.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
  • Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Commitment to Lean Principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement change.
  • Excellent Attendance Record.
  • Able to train TMs on in welding process and quality standards.

Note: Training requirements (Authorized trainer, perform every position in area, site specific training, classroom and on-the-job standard work training, Andon System/Escalation Procedure Training, Quality, Production Tracking System training, and job specific group leader training) must be complete prior to receiving promotion increase.

SALARY:

Starting pay $32.27 hourly and this position is eligible to receive overtime pay.
