Join us as a Senior Facility Manager and lead the charge in transforming retail facilities across Northern/Mid-California! This is a 100% remote position; however, candidates MUST reside in the Northern California area to be considered.

This is your opportunity to take ownership of an impressive portfolio of 245-350 retail locations spanning over 1.1-1.4 million square feet, while building and inspiring a dynamic team of 4-5 Facility Managers. As the strategic single point of contact reporting directly to the IFM Retail Director, you'll drive operational excellence, foster team growth, and make a tangible impact on retail experiences across one of California's most vibrant markets.

Here is some of your day:

  • Lead and manage facility operations team - Provide strategic leadership, vision, and guidance to operations, maintenance, utility, and manufacturing support functions while managing performance outcomes of assigned staff
  • Champion safety culture - Establish and maintain a "Safety First" environment by improving safety performance, raising awareness levels, and transforming safety behaviors across all staff and partners
  • Ensure comprehensive compliance - Maintain adherence to portfolio-wide initiatives, lease agreements, and all local, state, and federal regulations governing facility operations
  • Manage third-party relationships - Interface with landlords and property owners to ensure contract compliance, deliver accurate reporting, and resolve critical tenant relations issues
  • Oversee financial management - Prepare, submit, and manage facility budgets aligned with client objectives, track variances, ensure recovery processes, and support the collection of management fees and reimbursements from third-party tenants
  • Drive service excellence - Deliver facility services according to established standards, processes, and procedures while coordinating information and program implementation across assigned facilities and geography
  • Develop and retain talent - Execute comprehensive team management, including staff development planning, succession planning, growth initiatives, and participation in compensation planning processes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational objectives

Here is who we are looking for:

Required

  • Facilities Management Background - Previous experience in facilities management operations
  • Leadership Excellence - Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively with strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, including proven people management experience and success
  • Communication Mastery - Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Problem-Solving Expertise - Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with a proven track record of resolving complex operational challenges
  • Customer Service Focus - Established history of delivering outstanding internal and external customer service experiences
  • Business Acumen - Solid understanding of standard business and accounting practices with knowledge of financial operations
  • Technical Proficiency - Advanced Excel skills with demonstrated ability to analyze data, create reports, and derive actionable insights

Estimated total compensation for this position:

120,000.00 – 140,000.00 USD per year
