Position Title: Project Manager

Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for estimating, coordinating, and managing awarded projects ranging from small to large-scale traffic control and construction support operations. This role is instrumental in driving company growth and profitability through accurate estimating, successful project execution, and exceptional customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Relations
Partner with the Sales Department to identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities.
Receive, review, and process Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
Attend job walks, pre-construction meetings, site inspections, and client meetings as required.
Gather and document project information, including location, scope, duration, services required, and customer expectations.
Coordinate client credit application processing and internal approvals.
Estimating & Proposal Management
Analyze project requirements and develop traffic control solutions that meet project and regulatory requirements.
Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for new opportunities, change orders, existing projects, and internal departmental requests.
Review plans, specifications, and construction documents to determine scope, labor, equipment, and material requirements.
Monitor estimating activity and track quote outcomes, including win/loss ratios and closing percentages.
Project Management & Operations Coordination
Convert awarded estimates into active projects and establish job records within company systems.
Enter orders accurately and ensure all project information is complete and available for operational execution.
Coordinate with Planning, Permits, Dispatch, and Operations teams to ensure proper scheduling, staffing, equipment allocation, and permit acquisition.
Manage projects from award through closeout, ensuring customer expectations and company standards are met.
Regularly update project and order statuses to maintain accurate operational visibility.
Build and maintain productive relationships with local governing agencies and permitting authorities.
Identify and proactively resolve project-related issues, risks, and customer concerns.
Financial & Administrative Management
Monitor project profitability and support margin objectives.
Prepare project performance, profitability, and financial reports as needed.
Ensure all monthly billing is completed and submitted by the established deadline
Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliation.
Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Support & Leadership
Promote collaboration and effective communication across departments.
Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and training team members with responsibilities at or below the Project Manager level.
Serve as a resource for best practices related to estimating, project management, customer service, and company procedures.

Other equipment commonly used in traffic control and construction support operations.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Frequent use of hands and arms to handle, control, or move equipment and materials.
Ability to work outdoors in varied weather and environmental conditions.
Regular exposure to active construction and roadway work environments.
Repetitive movements associated with computer and administrative work.
Exposure to moving vehicles, heavy machinery, and mechanical equipment.
Ability to work in environments with moderate to high noise levels.
