Job Description

Seeking an analytical, strategic thinker with great detail orientation as a Procurement Specialist!  This is a new position to add to a growing team!  This individual will assist in the buying process for a given set of goods and owns the day-to-day management of vendors and acts as the point of contact between the vendors and INX across multiple manufacturing sites and technical labs.    As a Procurement Specialist, you are responsible to:  

• Update SAP material master data for completeness and integrity on behalf of the INX Team as requested
• Collaborate with suppliers to verify lead times, routes, and deliveries of materials addressing all concerns in a timely manner
• Assist in activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services on terms that are in the organization's best interest.
• Aid in the tracking and compilation of vendor scorecarding, including but not limited to monitoring the quality, contract standings and condition of goods being purchased & rebate tracking.
• Recommend improvements to reduce cost and support fiscal proactivity within the department while achieving corporate & site-specific goals. Lead and/or participate on continuous improvement teams as required.
• Maintain alertness to global supplier conditions, and pricing homogenization across INX to determine present and future material supply cost, availability and risk.
• Support all INX facilities by maintaining steady communication with material vendors to best coordinate flow and use of materials between departments and manufacturing sites.
• Support Procurement, Planning, Production, R&D, Legal, and Quality as needed.

Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or similar discipline or equivalent OJT working experience.
• 2+ years of procurement experience in a production environment 
• Demonstrate experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes.
• Possess successful track record of utilizing problem-solving methods to continuously improve quality, delivery, and cost performance.
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Demonstrate ability to manage conflict
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Strong planning and negotiation skills

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

• Have experience using SAP & Power BI
