Job Title: Regional Sales Manager, West

Job Status: full-time, permanent

Work location: USA, remote

Travel: 40-60%

 

Your role

In the role of Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for initiating, developing, and maintaining significant, sustainable, and profitable business relationships with national/regional chain accounts and distributors. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will lead the execution of Lipton’s operators and trade partners’ customers to deliver growth targets, i.e., turnover, reach, and penetration. 

 

Your key responsibilities:

  • Manage National/Regional Chain accounts and develop sales opportunities for each customer. 
  • Cultivate relationships with critical tier 2 and 3 distributors to promote Lipton products better. 
  • Partner with Distributor Partners to accelerate their market growth through training & collaborate with their Sales teams and executing marketing programs. 
  • Winning customers across all channels with the appropriate level of trade and resources
  • Develop and execute Joint Business Planning (JBP) with Selected Trade partners, including Trade Term agreements, Sell out activities, and DSRs & Trade team engagement & KPIs.  
  • Engage trade customers to gain alignment for Secondary Sales Data (SSD) partnerships with proof of value addition.
  • Continue to grow our existing customers; understanding their needs and offering compelling solutions to help grow their business.
  • Work closely with other functional areas, primarily as related to the development of long-term supply agreements, the forecasting of demand, and the implementation and execution of those agreements.
  • Identify opportunities for significant incremental volume with existing and new customers based on a clear understanding of their needs and the Company’s core competencies. Communicate those needs internally in a concise manner that captures all elements necessary to assess the impact and resources required for success properly.
  • Document activity, including sales, follow-up, and planning as directed in tools provided.

  • Cross-functional partners in R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance

  • External customers

 

Skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR 5+ years of experience in the Foodservice industry
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and conduct professional and compelling presentations in person and virtually to senior and executive level customer contacts.
  • Possess strong analytical, quantitative, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of the impact on sales and profit decisions, whether operator or trade related.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while consistently advancing the sales process.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills are required. Must possess a superior capability in cultivating relationships and managing internal and external stakeholders in executive-level positions.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook,
