Main purpose of the position:

This is a senior role in ISS’ Group Communications team, with responsibility to help shape and deliver the internal communication strategy and plan, in close collaboration with external communications and marketing. You will join a small, agile and forward-thinking group of talented communications professionals with a diverse range of experience and backgrounds.

 

Working on global internal communications projects and campaigns, you will partner with senior leaders and subject-matter experts from across the organisation in pursuit of ambitious global business goals. This role offers breadth and variety - no two days are the same in ISS; navigating financial results and strategy communications through to engaging employees around themes of social sustainability, health & safety at work and driving commercial growth. You’ll harness and develop a diverse skill-set that blends strategic insight, expert counsel, project-management and planning with hands-on writing, content creation and implementation.

 

This role would suit a confident, experienced communicator, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels – from front-line colleagues to senior leadership.

 

What you’ll do: 

• Plan and lead on global communications initiatives that bring the strategy to life, including internal quarterly results and change projects.
• Activate and engage key internal audiences around business goals.
• Lead the creation and delivery of compelling content - toolkits, articles, presentations, FAQs, events, videos, and digital content to drive engagement with key audiences.
• Establish clear metrics and KPIs to measure communication effectiveness and continuously improve impact.
• Build strong partnerships with country communications teams and across Group Communications to ensure consistent, coordinated delivery.

 

Who you’ll work with:

• Reporting to the Director of Internal Communications, you will join the Group Communications team whose remit covers enterprise-wide internal and external communications.
• You’ll build networks and collaborate with the Communications leads from each ISS country as well as Global Marketing.
• Key stakeholders will include ISS’s senior team – the Executive Group Management (EGM) leaders as well as subject-matter experts working across the enterprise from Group Functions; People & Culture, Global Technology Solutions, Finance, Global Operations and Commercial.

 

Key qualifications and experience:  

• 8 to 10 years of communications experience or related field
• Degree or equivalent in Communications or related discipline
• Danish speaking with fluent written and spoken English
• Experience developing communications strategies that address complex business challenges, including culture change and transformation
• Strong stakeholder management, partnering, coaching and influencing skills
• Experience of diverse audiences and channel mix reaching globally distributed front line (deskless) employees as well as digitally connected
• Continuous professional development, including emerging topics such as use of AI in communications, measurement and policy.
